Our city view rentals in Durango, Colorado sit above the rooftops of a real Old West downtown — close enough to walk to dinner on Main Avenue, high enough to watch the lights come on. If being in the middle of town matters more to you than the view itself, compare our downtown Durango vacation rentals too, then filter the city-view homes below and pick your dates.
Why Stay Somewhere with a City View
Downtown Durango is a National Historic District, so the view out your window is red brick, Victorian storefronts, and the Animas Valley behind it.
Walk to Main Avenue
Restaurants, breweries, and shops are a few blocks away. Start with what is worth eating downtown.
Main Avenue After Dark
Storefront lights and the glow off the brick make this view better at night than it is at noon.
The Train Runs Through It
The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad steams out of the depot downtown every morning.
Condos and Upper-Floor Flats
City views usually mean condos and vacation flats rather than cabins.
Arrive on Your Own Schedule
No front desk to catch before it closes with our self check-in rentals.
Valley Views Behind the Rooftops
Look past the brick and you still get the Animas Valley and the ridge-lines that close in the town.
Historic Downtown Durango Starts at Your Door
Historic downtown Durango runs about a dozen walkable blocks along Main Avenue, with the Strater Hotel anchoring the middle of it. You can spend a morning in the shops, an afternoon on the Animas River, and an evening working through the local breweries without ever moving your car.

How and where do I check in?
You go straight to the home you booked and use either a door code or a lockbox. About 30 days before your stay we email a guest information sheet with the property address and access codes, once your balance is paid in full and your rental agreement is signed.
