Where are your Durango condos located?

Nearly all of our condos are located north of Durango along the US-550 corridor. Five are in Purgatory Village at the base of Purgatory Resort, five are at Tamarron, three are at Cascade, two are at Silverpick, and one townhome is approximately twelve miles from downtown Durango. Guests looking to stay in town may prefer our downtown Durango vacation rentals.

Which of your condos are ski in, ski out?

Five of our condos offer true ski-in, ski-out access: Angel Haus #117, Edelweiss 8, Eolus 522, Last Run, and Mountain Gem. All are located at the base of Purgatory Resort, allowing guests to ski directly to and from the property.

Are the hot tubs and pools private or shared?

The hot tubs and pools are shared amenities. Fifteen of our sixteen condos include hot tub access and thirteen include a pool, but these facilities belong to the condominium complex or resort clubhouse rather than the individual unit.

Is there a resort fee at the Purgatory condos?

Yes. Condos at the Purgatory base include a 4% Purgatory Resort fee that is already reflected in your booking quote. Some units also offer optional access to the Durango Mountain Club's heated pool, hot tub, and fitness facility for an additional fee. Details are listed on each property page.

Only two of our sixteen condos accept pets: Edelweiss 8 and Happy Pick. Most other units are subject to HOA rules that prohibit pets, so exceptions cannot be made.

Do the condos have air conditioning?

Five of our condos have air conditioning. Many guests find it unnecessary due to the cooler summer evenings typical of the Durango high country, but air-conditioned rentals are available for those who prefer them.

How and where do I check in?

Most condos offer self-check-in using a door code or lockbox. Tamarron guests must check in at the front desk to receive keys. Approximately 30 days before arrival, guests receive a welcome email with property access information after the rental agreement is signed and the balance is paid. Standard check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM.

What deposit is required to book?

Reservations made more than 60 days before arrival require a 50% deposit of the total rental cost. Reservations made within 60 days of arrival require full payment at the time of booking.

Why Book a Mountain Condo in Durango

Sixteen condos between the base of Purgatory and the Tamarron valley. A condo trades the acreage of a cabin for somebody else shoveling the walk and heating the pool, which is the right trade for most ski trips.

Air conditioning is genuinely rare at this elevation, and five of our condos have it. If you want it, start with our Durango vacation rentals with AC.

The Tamarron condos are one-bedrooms built for a couple, while Aspen Run and Edelweiss 8 sleep eight. Narrow it down by rentals by bedroom count.

Where Our Durango Mountain Condos Sit

Everything here is strung along US-550 north of Durango, and where you land changes the trip. At the top of the road, five condos sit in Purgatory Village at the base of Purgatory Resort — Eolus and Edelweiss are the buildings, and all five ski in and out. Eight miles back down the valley, Tamarron holds five one-bedroom condos with clubhouse access and a quieter pace. Cascade and Silverpick fill the gap between them, a mile or two from the lifts. Only Tall Tree Townhome sits close to Durango itself, twelve miles out. Where are your Durango condos located?

Nearly all of them are north of town along the US-550 corridor. One, Tall Tree Townhome, is roughly twelve miles from downtown Durango. If you want to be in town itself, look at our downtown Durango vacation rentals instead.

Are the hot tubs and pools private or shared?

Shared. Fifteen of our sixteen condos include hot tub access and thirteen include a pool, but these belong to the complex or the resort clubhouse rather than to your unit. If you want a hot tub that is yours alone, our Durango cabins are the better fit — six of those have a private hot tub.
Is there a resort fee at the Purgatory condos?

Yes. Condos at the Purgatory base carry a 4% Purgatory resort fee, and it is included in the quote you see before you book. On some units, access to the Durango Mountain Club — the outdoor heated pool with a slide, the outdoor hot tub and the workout facility — is an optional add-on for an additional fee. Can I bring my dog?

Two of the sixteen condos accept pets: Edelweiss 8 and Happy Pick. Most of the others are governed by HOA rules that prohibit pets outright, so this is not a case where we can make an exception. If you are traveling with a dog, our pet friendly cabins in Durango CO give you far more to choose from.
Do the condos have air conditioning?

How large are the condos?

They run from a studio up to three bedrooms and sleep between four and eight. The five Tamarron condos are all one-bedrooms suited to a couple, while Aspen Run at Cascade and Edelweiss 8 at Purgatory are the largest at three bedrooms sleeping eight. How and where do I check in?

For most condos you go straight to the unit and use a door code or a lockbox. Tamarron is the exception — check in at the front desk there to collect your keys. About 30 days before your stay we email a guest information sheet with the property address and access codes, once your balance is paid in full and your rental agreement is signed. Standard check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM.
