  • How much is the deposit to reserve a home?

    To reserve a home, we will require 50% of the total rental cost if your reservation in more than 60 days out. If within 60 days, 100% of the cost of the home will be due to reserve.

  • When is the final balance due?

    60 days before arrival.

  • Where do I check in?

    You will go directly to the home that you have rented to access either a door code or a lock box. Your guest information sheet with the property address and codes will be emailed to you 30 days before your rental starts. Your balance must be PIF and your rental agreement signed to receive your check in instructions. For our Tamarron units, where you will check in at the front desk to receive your keys.

  • What time can I check in? Check out?

    Normal check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM, but that can be adjusted if available. (fee) Please inquire a day or two before arrival for an early check in request, and a day before check-out for a later check out request.

  • What is your refund policy?

    We will provide a full refund (minus a $100 fee) if you need to cancel your reservation up to 60 days prior to your arrival. If the cancellation occurs within 60 days of your arrival, we will do our best to refund any days of your rental that we can re-rent. WE HIGHLY SUGGEST TRAVEL INSURANCE IN CASE YOUR PLANS CHANGE, WHICH WILL REIMBURSE YOU FOR YOUR TRIP COSTS. THE INSURANCE CAN BE PURCHASED DURING THE RESERVATION PROCESS. We also have a “Cancel for any Reason” that will reimburse you for 60% of your costs.

  • Is there a security deposit?

    No security deposit is taken or refunded. Vacation Rental Damage Insurance is added to your reservation which covers you for up to $10,000 in accidental damages to the home during your stay.

  • Who do I call if something in my Vacation Rental is not working?

    If anything in your home is not working, call the Durango Colorado Vacations office at (970) 247-4292 during regular office hours (8:30a-5:30p Monday-Sunday). If outside of office hours, you can leave a message or also text us. We will make every reasonable effort to get back to you and if any repairs are needed, they will be done quickly and efficiently. Please remember that we are in a small mountain town and outside vendors are NOT available 24/7. Please be patient.

  • Getting to my Vacation Rental in snowy weather?

    Please remember you are coming to the mountains of Colorado. Appropriate vehicles are strongly recommended – all wheel drive (with chains in the back trunk) or 4-wheel drive. Roads are plowed frequently, and driveways shoveled after 3 to 4 inches of snow. There are a few homes where 4-wheel drive is MANDATORY. If you are in one of those homes, we will let you know.

  • Does every home have a washer/dryer?

    Most of our properties come equipped with a washer/dryer which is supplied with detergent. Be sure to check the amenities tab for your specific unit. If you are going to be washing more than a load or two, please bring laundry soap so our housekeeping team has a ready supply for your departure clean.

  • Are pets allowed?

    Authorized pets are only allowed in our designated pet-friendly properties. Pets are required to be supervised at all times and are not allowed on the furniture or beds. They must also be in a crate if left alone. A fee of $50 per stay will apply to each pet. Please pick up after your pet. Additional fines will apply for non-compliance which will be supervised by our housekeepers

  • How early should I make a reservation?

    Generally speaking, the earlier the better, since we normally sell out for the majority of the winter and summer seasons, especially during the holidays. You can check availability through our website

  • Are the units air-conditioned?

    Durango is at 6500 ft. in elevation and the temperature is usually in the 80’s during the summer and cool at night. Be sure to check the amenities tab for your specific unit. Most units (if they do not have a/c) are equipped with ceiling fans and portable fans.

  • How are we handling cleanliness during COVID-19?

    Cleanliness and safety for our guests is paramount. Our long-standing housekeeping staff is second to none in Durango, and we're spending an additional time at each and every property for every clean between guests. CDC approved disinfectants and procedures are being utilized to ensure your safety and that all surfaces (even ones you may not see or touch) are properly sanitized.
