While it’s a steep climb at some points, the views are more than worth it. The trail isn’t for the faint of heart and is categorized as hard, but if you’re up for a grand adventure, we highly recommend this one. Ranked as the best trail in the San Juan Forest, this beauty is an 8.1-mile loop that gains more than 3,000 feet in elevation. At the top, you’ll find crystal blue pools of ice-cold mountain water and some of the most stunning wild flowers you’ve ever seen.
