This place was perfect for three families, minutes from the ski resort. Very easy to find.

Loved it!
Met every expectation for nine people. Located between Durango and Silverton which made it a perfect spot to go in either direction for unique adventures. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great House!
This was a great house!!! The 5 bedrooms gave everyone their own space and their own time; the house is very private yet only one mile away from the resort; you are still close enough to town for it to be convenient and still have all of the "out-of-town" feel. A great place to stay for a family or friend getaway, in the winter or in the summer! We are all looking forward to our trip back next year!

Good Stay
We spent a week in August and enjoyed it immensely. The cabin breaks up nicely for 2 families. A bit far from Durango, but great for Purgatory and San Juans. We have a great time.

Great Place with Great Access to Purgatory and Durango
If you want a place with access to Durango, Purgatory Ski Resort AND the San Juan National Park this is the place to stay. We traveled with two adults and six kids 6-17 years old. There was plenty to do and plenty to see. We did the summer activities at Purgatory (alpine slides, mountain bikes, ropes course, zip line, etc.) and went into Durango often.

Great Location, beautiful and secluded
Two sides of our family met in Durango for the 4th of July weekend and this cabin was a perfect place for us. With bedrooms upstairs and downstairs there was plenty of room for all 10 of us plus a baby. The kitchen was fully stocked and we cooked several meals in it for 15+ people. There was also adequate seating with the big dining table and the smaller kitchen table and even the kitchen bar. The location was ideal as it was halfway between Durango and Silverton. It was 20 minutes to downtown Durango and 30 minutes to Silverton for 4th of July fireworks. Set back in a secluded neighborhood the turn off is hard to find from the road so use your GPS. The cabin is nestled in a quiet community with little ponds scattered through the majestic woods. Perfect for a quiet stroll and very close to hiking trails and Durango mountain resort. I would definitely stay here again as it was a great experience.

Fantastic Home - Highly Recommend
We recently rented the Pinecone Cabin in Durango for 7 days which is managed by Durango Colorado Vacations. The home was in pristine condition and there was plenty of room for our party of 9. This house was very well appointed (kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, living room) and had many separate decks where people could convene together or one could snuggle in a chair with a good book for some alone time. The kitchen was equipped with every appliance, dish and utensil you could possibly need. The house is a short walk from a private lake, which provided for some nice evening walks and bird watching. We enjoyed the close proximity to restaurants, a corner store/gas station, hiking trails and lakes for fishing or kayaking. It would be a perfect location for winter skiing at The Durango Mountain Resort. Having stayed in many VRBO homes (and owning one ourselves), I would say this one pleasantly exceeded our expectations. I must also mention that the staff at Durango Colorado Vacations (especially Peter M.) went above and beyond to make sure everything was flawless. They truly care about the experience and even responded on a Sunday to a question about the internet. They made sure every detail was taken care of and each question answered, even taking additional pictures for us as we were considering the home for our family vacation. They conducted a “post” stay survey via telephone to garner our feedback in an effort to see if there was anything they could do to make the stay for the next vacationers that much more perfect. I am astounded at the care taken and know that service of this level is rare. We would definitely rent this home again and would heartily recommend the folks at Durango Colorado Vacations for both renters and property managers.

Beautiful Home very close to Durango Mountain Resort
I rented this home for a guys ski trip. I've been to Durango before, but stayed in town last time, and wanted to stay closer to the ski resort. This place was perfect! It was less than a mile from the resort, and it had plenty of room for 7 guys. The living areas are large, and we had plenty of room for all our gear. There is a large full kitchen, so we were able to hit the Grocery in town once, and saved a ton of money cooking at the house. The neighborhood streets were plowed, and the highway is well maintained, so we never had an issue traveling in the SUV, even with the snowfall. All in all, a great place, and we'll likely rent it again if it's available for some summer hiking.
